Kim Keller, Executive Director

Kim Keller is the Executive Director of the David & Anita Keller Family Foundation, a Bay Area-based family foundation committed to human rights as the cornerstone to peace and justice. She is deeply engaged and passionate about international human rights and strategic philanthropy.

In addition to serving as board-chair of Accountability Counsel, Kim is an active member of several philanthropic donor networks.

In 2011, she volunteered with the Carter Center as an election observer during the Liberian presidential election. Prior to directing her family’s foundation, Kim worked in social science research and policy analysis for Bay Area non-profits including the Prevention Research Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and for the Department for Veterans’ Affairs. Kim holds degrees from Wellesley College and the London School of Economics and Political Science and Harvard Kennedy School MC/MPA


David Keller, Founder and Board Chair

David Keller is Co-Founder of Article3.Org, a nonprofit focused on strengthening the human rights philanthropy ecosystem, and Partner of Article 3 Advisors, a not-for-profit consultancy working at the nexus of human rights and strategic philanthropy. David is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Additionally he earned an AS degree in Electrical Engineering from Mission College. He worked in a variety of industries including medical services, heavy manufacturing and social services, before settling into a career in high-tech in Silicon Valley. He worked at increasing levels of responsibilities at ROLM Corporation from 1979-1989 and at Cisco Systems from 1989-2002. His work experiences included manufacturing management, process and systems engineering, product development and strategic development.

David established a family foundation in 2002 and since that time has been actively engaged in philanthropy. While recognizing that there are no easy answers and more than one approach – human rights, as the cornerstone of peace and justice as well as political, social and economic development has emerged as our focus.
